The Mexica started their rise to power in 1325 and were a complex and marvelous civilization. They build massive monuments, included more than 25 million people and stretched from coast to coast along central Mexico. The demise of their empire came in 1521 when Hernan Cortez and his men came in search of their riches and gold. Cortez and his men conquered and destroyed this for empire, with ease, for a number of reasons.
